Inspiration? It's been a priority of mine as of late. I've been heavy into finding images, stories, experiences and sounds that move me in some kind of direction.
Recently, I found (along with a couple thousand others) on the net this animation by artist blu called
MUTO. I was super-impressed at the ingenuity & dedication blu put into his work over the course of one Winter. I was even more bugged out by the thought of the film-editing process. These images made me head over to the
Wooster Collective site, home to images of crazy street art found globally.

to taking your skill & vision and spreading it around the world guerilla-style. I've always had much love for my graf heads, taggers, stencil folks and the like. They do really dangerous things in order to give the world art as they see it. You ever see a bombing so high that you instantly begin to wonder a) how'd they get up there? b) what'd they stand on? c) how'd they not get caught? It ain't easy fam.
I guess my inspiration-share of tonight has concluded to one main idea: true artists will always inspire me. Those who challenge and question and push envelopes, or tear them up all together.
I feel like I'm in a transition right now, settling into my own artistry...and attempting to get comfortable in my own skill & potential. It's important to understand how what we see inspires us and challenges us to ask what WE want to see in the world.
I ask myself everyday. So I'll be trying to share more of that here.
